VVM Examination
School-Level Examinations (Junior and Senior)
There will be only one examination for a total of one hour thirty minutes duration at school level with 100 multiple choice questions, each weighted for one mark. Examination will consist of two segments:
- Section A comprising of 40 questions from study material Indian Contributions to Science; Life story of Vyankatesh Bapuji Ketkar & His Work in the field of the Measurement of Time to be provided by Vijnana Bharati
- Section B comprising of 60 questions based on the textbooks of NCERT curriculum and logic and reasoning (open source). The examination will be conducted separately for Junior Group (Class VI to VIII) and for Senior Group (Class IX to XI). Evaluation of students will be based on their individual performance at every level. The examination will be conducted in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odia, Assamese (major regional languages)
State Level Camp (SLC)
Top 20 rankers from each class for every state will be identified to participate in the one or two day State Level Camp (SLC). The camp will be organised at any location within the state. State Level Camp consists of:
- Application orientated multiple choice questions
- Hands-on activities
- Observation and analysis
- Situational problem solving ability
- Series of other activities
States will be clubbed according to the number of students who appeared for the examination, as per consideration of their geographical and cultural resemblance, and convenience of the students.
National Camp (NC)
Top two students from each class i.e. total 12 students from each state will be invited to a two day National Camp, which comprises of:
- Presentations
- Activities to test scientific understanding
- Innovation
- Creativity
- Out-of-box thinking and assessment of leadership quality

- Cash prize Rs. 5000, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd rankers per class
Level IVNational Level Winners
Top 2 winners at the state level, from each state, will qualify to participate in the National Camp.
Top 3 rankers per class will be national winners i.e. Himalayans (i.e. 18 students at national level).
VVM Online Lecture Series
VVM online lecture series conducted by prominent academic members of VVM is available on VVM Youtube Channel.
